Weird Sisters, Wales's Premier Gothic Tribal belly dance troupe, was founded in 2002 by Mehitabel and Halaleh to experiment with American Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion, and Gothic belly dance. They adopted the name 'Weird Sisters' from Shakespeare, because there were three dancers in the original line-up. After a few changes of personnel, but no wavering in direction, Weird Sisters is now a tight collection of performers, teachers and artists who inspire each other to explore the wide and varied landscape of Gothic Tribal belly dance, with their shared love of costume, tattoos, fake hair and too much make-up.
